湖北经济学院体育教学部现有教职工30人,其中教师26人,行政教辅人员4人。教师中副教授14人,讲师6人,助教6人;国际级裁判1人,一级裁判8人;国家级健身健美操指导员1人。教师所教授的专业分布在田径、篮球、排球、足球、乒乓球、羽毛球、网球、武术、跆拳道、健美操、艺术体操、国际标准舞等项目,可以满足学生对体育课教学和课外活动、培训的需求。新组建的体育教学部在学校党委和行政的领导下,通过全体教职工的共同努力和配合,较顺利地度过了磨合期,出现了干部群众热情高涨、上下齐心谋求发展的崭新局面,每一个人都决心为湖北经济学院的发展和腾飞贡献自己的力量。
