沉淀试验
可溶性抗原与相应的抗体，在比例适当和有电解质存在的条件下，可产生肉眼可见的沉淀。在抗原或抗体过量时，二者虽能结合，但由于产生的免疫复合物体积太小，可以不出现肉眼可见的沉淀，产生所谓"前带现象"。为不致造成错误，通常需要对抗原或抗体作不同的稀释以后再进行试验，这样做还可以使试验具有半定量性质。沉淀试验的方法有在试管中进行的抗原与抗体层分开的环状试验和抗原与抗体混合的絮状试验，以及在琼脂平板中进行的琼脂凝胶扩散试验。目前以琼脂凝胶扩散试验及其改良方法应用最广泛。
