10～11月间挖，晒干，或鲜用。
【化学成分】
见"葡萄藤叶"条。
【性味】
①《纲目》："甘涩，平，无毒。" ②《四川中药志》："性寒，味甘苦，无毒。"
【功用主治】
除风湿，利小便。治风湿痹痛，肿胀，小便不利。 ①孟诜："浓煮汁，细细饮之，止呕哕及霍乱后恶心。妊孕人子上冲心，饮之即下，其眙安。" ②《纲目》："治腰脚肢腿痛，煎汤淋洗之良。" ③《四川中药志》："除风湿，消胀，利水。治瘫痪麻木，吐血，口渴。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，0.5～1两；或炖肉。外用：捣敷或煎水淋洗。
【选方】
①治关节痛：白葡萄根二至三两，猪蹄一个或鲡鱼一、两尾。酌加水煎，或酒水各半炖服。(《福建民间草药》) ②治吐血：葡萄根、白茅根、侧柏叶、红茶花、茜草根、藕节。炖肉服。(《四川中药志》) ③治筋伤骨折：葡萄鲜根捣烂敷伤处，(江西《草药手册》)
