亦称有序程度。指地理客体在内部结构上或组织系统上可以被识别的特征。纯粹的无序性，可定义为无内部结构，即其组成成分完全按照一种微观状态均匀地、随机地分布着，所有成分的概率均相等；而纯粹的有序性，即客体内部完全按照唯一的固定范式排列或组织，即除了一个特殊成分的概率为1外，其余所有成分的概率均为0。地理有序性的研究，将提供一种统一的、普适的基础，以对待地理系统的整体表现性质，并由此引出地理熵的判定以及地理系统的自组织功能。从熵的动态演变去识别有序性程度的强弱，可在更高一级的层次上，认识整个地理环境中许多更加本质的问题。
