由非极性键形成的分子。如h2、o2、n2等。由极性键形成的分子,如果电荷分布是对称均匀的,也是非极性分子。如在甲烷(ch4)分子中,四个c-h键都是极性键,但由于碳原子位于正四面体中心,四个氢原子位于正四面体的四个顶角,对称地排列在碳原子的周围,电荷分布对称均匀,故也是非极性分子。
