To gain a better understanding of the thermal history of the Erlangping Group,~(40)Ar/~(39)Arplateau age analysis was made on muscovite from garnet-bearing mica quartz schist and hornblendefrom amphibolite.

Ever since the 1970s,the schemes of division and correlation of the Erlangping Group and its correlated strata have even arrived more than 10 types.

In order to show details of the belt during the Late Mesozoic,we have carried out a series of analysis for the Erlangping Group on meso-small structure,micro-texture,electron-probe and geochronology.

By studying the petrological and petrochemical characteristics of Erlangping granite pluton,it is thought that Erlangping granite pluton is magmamorgenic and its source material came from the metamorphous mafic volcanic rock and the metamorphous argillite and psammite of Kuanping group rock.
