本文简要说明了“乡土志”产生的历史背景和基本特点,分析了《中国地方志联合目录》中“乡土志”收书范围过窄、年代断代失误问题,指出1905年《乡土志例目》颁布之后,“乡土志”才大量出现,因此1905年可以成为乡土志成书的一个断代参考。

| 《中国地方志联合目录》 中国专科文献目录。中国科学院北京天文台主编。中华书局1985年出版。以朱士嘉编纂的《中国地方志综录》为蓝本，与各单位现实藏书进行核对，补充并参考若干同类目录编成。著录中国各省、市、自治区的公共、科研单位、大专院校图书馆、博物馆、历史馆、档案馆等190个单位所收藏的自南朝宋至1949年的方志8200余种 。收录范围包括通志、府、州、厅、县志、乡土志、里镇志、卫志、所志、关志、岛屿志，以及一些具有志书体例和内容的方志初稿、采访册、调查记等，但山、水、寺庙、名胜等志则除外。《中国地方志联合目录》依全国各省、市、自治区分别著录，各省内以府、州、县、乡为序，乡土志、里镇志随所属县后，同一地区的方志则按编纂年代先后排列。著录项目有书名 、卷数、纂修者、版本、藏书单位和备注。凡存佚情况、卷数分合、记事起讫，地名古今变迁、书名异称，内容详略，流落异域孤本的国别与收藏单位等等都在备注内说明。书末附书名索引。 |
