By studying the petrological and petrochemical characteristics of Erlangping granite pluton,it is thought that Erlangping granite pluton is magmamorgenic and its source material came from the metamorphous mafic volcanic rock and the metamorphous argillite and psammite of Kuanping group rock.

Based on comparison of wallrock,alterations,ores and chemical compositions of Laowan granitic body such as gold content,rare elements,rare earth elements,it is inferred that Laowan granite is a dominant factor causing formation of Laowan gold deposit.
河南桐柏老湾金矿床赋存于龟山岩组地层中,通过对围岩、蚀变、矿石与老湾岩体的金含量、微量元素、稀土元素等化学成分进行对比,推测老湾花岗岩是引起老湾金矿形成的主导因素;通过对同位素特征及成矿流体的研究成果,说明老湾金矿床的成矿物质部分源自于老湾花岗岩;通过对老湾矿床矿石、围岩与老湾花岗岩的40Ar/39Ar年龄资料的分析,得知矿床的形成稍晚于花岗岩体,具有同期特征。
