| 三河-平谷地震 1679年9月2日(清康熙十八年七月二十八日)中国河北省北部燕山地震带发生的大地震。此震是中国东部人口稠密地区影响广泛和损失惨重的知名历史地震之一，是北京附近历史上发生的最大地震。震级估计为8级。据史书记载，以河北省三河县和北京市平谷县的灾情最重，震中烈度为Ⅺ度，破坏面积纵长500千米 ，北京城内皇宫有多处损坏。据《乾隆三河县志》记载：“巳时地震，从西北至东南，如小舟遇风浪，人不能起立，城垣房屋存者无多，四面地裂，黑水涌出，月余方止，所属境内压毙人民甚众。”《民国23年平谷县志》记载：“七月平谷地震极重，城乡房屋塔庙荡然一空，遥望茫茫，了无障隔。”从地质构造上看，该区处于燕山隆起带与华北平原沉降区之间的过渡带，北北东向同近东西向的二组断裂在此交汇，地质构造复杂。华北地区大地震的重复期约300年。1976年的唐山地震发生在此震以后的297年，与此复发期的估计是吻合的。 |
