Using the technology of RS and GIS,we have obtained the data of spatial-temporal distribution and dynamic changes of land desertification in Sangonghe region of the northern piedmont of Tianshan Mountains in 1968,1978,1988 and 2002,based on which we have statistically analyzed the spatial desertification processes.

内蒙古自治区额尔古纳右旗府所在地。位于大兴安岭西北麓，因地处根河、得耳布尔河和哈乌尔河汇合处，故名三河。面积1平方公里，人口8000多。土壤肥沃,林木繁茂，水草丰富，是驰名中外的良种三河马、三河牛的产地。三河地区资源丰富，矿产有金、铜、铅、铁、萤石等。此外有珍贵林木、林下盛产木耳、猴头菇等，林中有黑熊、野猪及鹿、马鹿（亦称""）、猞猁、飞龙等珍禽野兽。河流盛产哲罗、细鳞、狗鱼等。尤以榛鸡(飞龙)、熊掌、鼻更为珍贵，历来均为贡品，驰名中外。
