【来源】
为蔷薇科植物金老梅的叶。
【植物形态】
金老梅 小灌木，高20～100厘米。树皮褐色或灰褐色，片状剥落；分枝多，嫩枝褐色，被丝状毛。单数羽状复叶，小叶大，通常3～7片，长圆形，稀为长圆状倒卵形或披针形，长1～2.5厘米，先端急尖，基部楔形，全缘，有丝状毛，上面有疏生或较密的伏生毛，下面无毛或近无毛，有时侧脉上有绢毛；托叶膜质，卵状或卵状披针形。花单生于叶腋或顶生成伞房花序，花托有疏长毛或丝状长柔毛；萼片、副萼片各5，萼片卵形，副萼片线状披针形；花瓣5，圆形，黄色。瘦果有毛。形态变化很大。花期6～7月。果期8～9月。 生于山地草原、林边、湖边、沙窝。分布甘肃、新疆、青海、内蒙古、吉林，辽宁、河北、山西等地。 本植物的花(金老梅花)亦供药用，另详专条。
【采集】
夏季采叶，洗净，晒干。6～7月采花，阴干。
【化学成分】
含三萜2%和熊果酸0.7%。

《中国沙漠地区药用植物》:"甘，平。"
【功用主治】
《中国沙漠地区药用植物》:"消暑热，益脑清心，调经，健胃。治暑热眩晕，两目不清，胃气不和，滞食，月经不调。"
【用法与用量】
内服:煎汤，2～3钱。
