| 太湖平原 位于中国江苏省长江以南，是一个以太湖为中心的碟形洼地。碟缘高不过4～10米，大部分4～6米，洼地最低处1.7米。平原上多孤立山地分布。一般在200米以下，太湖中有岛91个。湖荡成群，河川纵横交错 ，密如蛛网，河道长约4万千米，较大湖荡250多个。太湖面积2425平方千米，平均水深2.1米。其西面有滆湖、长荡湖 ，东面有阳澄湖、澄湖、淀山湖等，形成以太湖为中心的湖泊群。有鱼类71种，其中有经济价值的40种，主要捕捞对象18种。土壤肥沃、灌溉便利，又有较好的耕作措施和机械化条件，可发展双季水稻连作的三熟制。防洪排涝是农业上的一大问题。 |
