| 法显（约337～约422） 中国东晋僧人。俗姓龚。平阳郡武阳（今山西襄丘）人。3 岁出家，20岁受大戒。为求取佛律，于东晋安帝隆安三年（399）自长安出发，西渡流沙，越葱岭至天竺求法，先后于北、西、中、东天竺获《方等般泥洹经》、《摩诃僧祗部律》、《萨婆多部钞律》、《杂阿毗昙心论》、《摩诃僧祗阿毗昙》等梵本；于狮子国（斯里兰卡）获《弥沙塞律》、《长阿含》、《杂阿含经》、《杂藏经》等梵本；并由海路经耶婆提国（在今印度尼西亚爪哇），于义熙八年(412)抵青州长广郡牢山（今山东青岛崂山）。历时14 年，游历29国，历尽艰险。次年达建康（今江苏南京），于道场寺，与佛陀跋陀罗译6卷本《 大般泥洹 》、《摩诃僧祗律》、《方等般泥洹经》、《杂藏经》、《杂阿毗昙心论》。另撰有《佛国记》，记录了他的行程及见闻。 |
