The paper regards current economics is economy theory suiting industry economy time,while knowledge economy is new economy form that is different from industry economy,on this basis,the paper sets forth the challenge and breakthrough knowledge economics brought to traditional economy theory from seven aspects.

As a new interdisciplinary science,the existence of knowledge economics is justified by several factors: the situation arises of making a broad study on economy,and there exist some major problems to be solved in it.
