九彩坪拱北始建于清同治二年（1863年），民国九年（1920年）大地震时被毁，后经修复，"文化大革命"中建筑物被破坏殆尽，1980年后经过多年修复，基本恢复原貌。现有建筑物均以水磨砖雕装饰，重现了当年建筑风格。
