大若岩镇位于永嘉县的中西部，是国家级风景区楠溪江旅游重镇，省星火科技示范镇，市级农业农村现代化示范镇和市级生态平衡示范镇。
距县城32公里，全镇辖区面积为92平方公里，其中耕地面积9600亩，山场面积8.7万亩，园地、滩地和水面积30000余亩，形成“八山一水一分田”的自然格局。
