Based on the result from detail regional geological investigation and according to plant fossils and coal streaks, the coarse clastic stratum in Xiqingshan area is collated as Jurassic Longjiagou Formation (Jlj).
通过大比例尺区域地质调研,对西倾山地区的一套粗碎屑岩地层,依据植物化石及含煤线等特征,厘定为下侏罗统龙家沟组(Jlj);根据岩石、岩性组合、沉积构造及沉积环境等特征的研究,认为该套地层为晚印支期西秦岭褶皱成山后,山间断陷盆地中由曲流河所形成的产物;近年来发现,该套地层中有金矿产出。
补充资料：岐沟关遗址
岐沟关遗址位于河北涿州城西南20公里松林店镇岐沟村，西南4.5公里为南拒马河，东北6公里为北拒马河，西临古运粮河故道。关址南北长约430米，北边缘东西宽430米，南边缘东西宽380米。土墙夯层厚10—12厘米，夯窝直径10厘米，棍眼直径10厘米。夯土层中存有战国、汉代及唐宋时期陶瓦片，城外曾出土大量铜箭镞等战争遗物，表现此地为古战场所 在。据《日下旧闻考》载：……晋王存勖天？十年遣周德威出飞狐攻燕，与镇定兵会于易水，进攻祁沟关……。宋雍熙三年曹彬、米信等与辽将耶律休格战于祁沟关……。由此可见，岐沟地势险要，历代兵家必争。当地人称，古代岐沟曾称岐沟府，后改岐沟关，还称沟现在叫岐沟村。旧志资料称此关址建于唐末。
