| 阎甲 Histeridae；mister beetle 鞘翅目阎虫总科阎甲科的通称。世界约3000种，中国38种。阎甲体坚硬，表面光滑，有椭圆形、圆筒形等，多为黑色，或有呈黄褐或红色斑纹。头小形，大部分常被前胸背板前缘围绕。多数种类栖息于沙质地和海岸，有的在枯木树皮下其他蛀木甲虫的穿孔中，有的在蚁和白蚁巢中营共栖生活，也有的在啮齿类的洞中生活。 |
