| 山地 mountain land 陆地表面高度较大，坡度较陡，由山岭和山谷组合而成高地的统称。是在新构造抬升地区受外力的剥蚀、侵蚀作用，形成岭谷相间的地貌形态。山是由山顶、山坡和山麓3部分组成，通常把具有尖状峰顶的称为山峰。按成因划分有构造山、侵蚀山和堆积山 ；按起伏高度分，小于500米的称小起伏山地，500～1000米的称中起伏山地 ，1000～2500米的称大起伏山地，超过2500米的称极大起伏山地；按海拔高度划分，小于1000米的为低山，1000～3500米的为中山，3500～5000米的为高山，大于5000米的为极高山。通常将有成因联系并按一定延伸方向的一组山脉，称为山系，如喜马拉雅山系等。沿一定构造线延伸的岭谷相间的山体，称为山脉，如阴山山脉等。 |
