东北财经大学图书馆创建于1952年，当时有工作人员10人，馆藏图书 10万册。经过近50年的建设，目前图书馆已成为一所藏书比较丰富，设备比较齐全，能适应教学和科研发展需要的新型大学图书馆。现在的图书馆是1984年投入使用的，地上建筑面积为8400平方米，藏有书刊125万册。馆内设有8个书库，10个印刷型文献阅览室，2个电子文献阅览室，阅览座位1200个。在图书馆自动化管理方面，1994年初在全省高校图书馆中率先运用计算机网络管理全部业务工作，目前实现了在校园网上的图书馆资源共享，并通过校园网与中国教育科研网、国际互联网相联，极大地扩大了图书馆的信息中心功能。同时拥有大量的现代化信息设备。
图书馆现设采访部、编目部、流通部、阅览部、信息技术部、读者服务部、办公室，共有工作人员80余人。
