On the basis of census data of Huangshan City in 2000 and topographic data,this paper processed a quantitative analysis on the relationship between terrain factor and the spatial distribution of population,and the results showed that there are three factors which have remarkable impact on the spatial distribution of the population,namely,altitudes,aspect and slopes.
