良渚文化遗址
良渚文化是我国长江下游太湖流域一支重要的古文明。是铜石并用时代文化，因发现于浙江余杭良渚镇而得名，距今约5250─4150年，经半个多世纪的考古调查和发掘，初步查明遗址分布于太湖地区。在余杭市良渚、安溪、瓶窑三个镇地域内，分布着以莫角山遗址为核心的50余处 良渚文化遗址，有村落、墓地、祭坛等各种遗存，内涵丰富，范围广阔，遗址密集。八十年代以来，反山、瑶山、汇观山等高台 土冢与祭坛遗址相复合，。
陶器以黑陶为特色，制作精美，有的甚至涂漆。玉器非常发达，种类有珠、管、璧、璜、琮、蝉。其中玉琮个体大，高达18－23厘米，上面雕刻圆目兽面纹，工艺精湛，是中国古代玉器中的珍品，被誉为「玉琮王」。形状为内圆外方，与古代的天地相通思想相吻合。玉器上刻有似神似兽的神人形像和神人兽合一的形像，它们可能是当时人们的崇拜对象。
良渚文化的钱山漾一地出土有绢片、丝带和丝线，是中国远古时代最重要的家蚕丝织物。此外，还发现了许多祭坛遗址，如余杭瑶山遗址发现的祭坛，平面呈方形，从里向外为红土台、灰土围沟和砾石台，外围的边长约20米。祭坛上一般都有大墓，可能是人们祭祀先祖、天神的地方。
