描述CymodoceaKoenig丝粉藻属，角果藻科，4种，分布于热带和亚热带地区海洋中，其中C.rotundaAsch.etSchweinf.我国广东沿海岛屿亦有分布。咸水生草本，有匍匐状根茎；茎具叶，极短或延长而直立；叶2列，狭长或稍阔而短，基部有一短鞘；花单性异株，单生于鞘状苞片内；花被缺；雄花有无花丝的花药2；花粉丝状；雌花有离生的心皮2，每一心皮有胚珠1颗，向上渐狭成一线状花柱；成熟心皮革质或木质，不开裂。
