介绍了太原西山煤田古交矿区地面塌陷、地裂缝、滑坡和崩塌等主要地质灾害,及地质灾害引起地表建筑物、耕地、市政设施和水资源破坏等环境效应问题,分析了矿区主要地质灾害的形成机制,认为矿区地面塌陷及地裂缝均为煤炭采空区失稳变形的演化产物,而采矿活动是滑坡和崩塌发生的诱发因素;地下开采引起的地表移动,改变了覆岩的原始应力状态,降低了原有软弱层(面)的力学强度;同时,开采使地表产生裂隙,加剧了地表水的渗透,因而诱发了山体滑坡及崩塌。
