经典性条件反射(elassieal eonditioning)指巴甫洛夫式的条件反射。根据条件反射形成的过程和程序，E希尔加德和D.马蔡斯把条件反射分为经典性条件反射和操作性条件反射。在巴甫洛夫的条件反射形成过程中，典型的做法是，首先向狗呈现一个像铃声或灯光那样的无关的中性刺激，同时或紧接着呈现一个像食物或电击那样的能引起睡液分泌或回避动作的无条件刺激物，这样经过若干次的反复，无关的中性刺激就能成为条件刺激，仅仅根据条件刺激就能产生唾液分泌或回避动作了。因为在这个实验过程中，强化物是和刺激相结合的，所以又叫刺激型(S型)的条件反射。斯金纳的条件反射称操作性条件反射，亦称反应型(R型)的条件反射。 恤I国撰车丈博审)
