除氧外含有硫、硒、碲等硫系元素的玻璃称为硫系玻璃。硫系原子最外层有6个原子(s2p4),可以和本身或其他2个原子形成共价键,因而硫系原子以曲折链连接成玻璃体,其键角可变,结构柔软,软化温度低,硬度小。它是一种非晶态半导体材料,具有独特的电学及光电导性能。可用于制作开关元件及光电记忆元件。
