In order to decrease the major influences of time-varying multipath and fading in underwater channels and increase the transmit distance and reliability of an underwater communications system,research and analysis were done on an adaptive spatio-temporal decision feedback equalizer(DFE) with an embedded digital-phase-locked-loop(DPLL) in a high-speed underwater digital communications system.
