东汉文学家、书法家。字伯喈，陈留圉(今河南杞县西南)人。灵帝时任议郎，因得罪宦官被流放。董卓当政，官至左中郎将，后世称为蔡中郎。董卓被诛后，下狱死。辞赋以揭露统治者腐朽奢侈的《述行赋》最著名。书法工篆、隶，隶书尤佳，又创“飞白”书。明人辑有《蔡中郎集》。
