tuntuliang吞吐t《thmughPut)计算机输人输出系统或通信系统，在数据传输过程中某一时间间隔内，单位时间传输的字节数。它也用来表示计算机系统在给定时间内(如单位时间内)所完成的总工作量。 在输入输出系统中，数据在输入输出设备、输入输出控制器和主机主存储器之间传送，单位时间内数据通过量即吞吐量。它受到许多环节的影响，如主存储器的工作频率，控制器的缓冲寄存器的工作频率，各个输人输出设备的数据传输率等都影响吞吐量。设连接在控制器上的输人输出设备有n台，其数据传输率分别为fl，几，…，关，…，fn，最大吞吐量将是皿关。但由于控制器的缓冲寄存器的容量及 之二l控制策略等多种因素的限制，不可能达到这一最大吞吐量，而且用计算的方法求输人输出系统的吞吐量也是比较困难的。表示计算机系统解题能力的吞吐量，也称“总处理能力”或“总吞吐能力”。它是计算机系统整个软硬件处理能力的一种综合性度量。通常用一给定时间间隔内系统完成的作业平均数来表示。如在t秒内完成的作业数为n，则吞吐量为n/t。计算机系统的吞吐量也受到许多因素的影响，如作业类型、作业性质、作业规模、作业调度策略等均对吞吐量有较大的影响。因此，不能单用吞吐量来评价一个计算机系统或比较两个系统。(林兼)
