西班牙罗斯·罗卡公司在1987年初完成并开始推销称为罗德的轮式机器人车。该车可用于清理雷场和处理炸药等危险物品。
1987年西班牙武装部队装备了10辆，部分警卫部队也装备。为适应其他如核电站等使用，公司还发展了一些变型车。

该车长1.4m、宽0.67m、高0.8m、重350kg、(6×6)驱动、动力装置为1台电动机，车上供电蓄电池可使用2h，车速(前进或后退)可在0～6.5km/h之间连续变化。
车上装有活动操作臂，有6个自由度，固定在机器人车的旋转塔上。操作臂不伸长时可吊重80kg，伸直时最长为1.5m，此时可吊重16kg。操作臂顶端装有夹爪，夹紧力可达30kg，能把物体提升至2.75m高。
该车采用100m(或250m)长的电缆或无线电装置进行遥控。操作手完成整个操作过程必须借助1台黑白或彩色电视显示器，显示车上3个摄像机获得的监视驾驶、操作臂控制和夹爪操作的图像。车上装有两个卤气探照灯，可在夜间或能见度很低的地区使用。
