【植物形态】
栓翅卫矛 落叶灌木，高约4米。枝近四棱，硬直，有2～4个软木质翅，灰褐色；冬芽小。叶对生，矩圆形至矩圆披针形，长6～10厘米，先端渐尖，基部楔形，边缘有细锯齿，两面无毛；叶柄长7～15毫米。花紫色，成聚伞花序；花梗长5毫米；总梗长1～2.5厘米。蒴果4裂，卵圆形，红色，长约7毫米，花柱宿存，长约0.2厘米，呈短尖头。 生于林缘及河岸灌丛中。分布河南、陕西、甘肃、四川等地。
【采集】
7～8月采，晒干。
【性味】
性寒，味苦。
【归经】
入肝、肺二经。
【功用主治】
破血落胎，调经续断。治产后腹痛，崩中下血，风湿疼痛。
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，2～3钱；或浸酒。
【选方】
①治月经不调小腹痛：翅卫矛配五灵脂、当归。水煎服。 ②治骨折及风湿疼痛：翅卫矛配钮子七、铁线莲、卷柏、华蕨槲、秦艽、铁棒七。泡酒服。
