南酸枣 Choerospondias axillaris 漆树科南酸枣属落叶乔木。又称酸枣、五眼果。该属仅1种,产于印度及中国南部。木材供建筑、造船、家具等用材;果可食用,树皮、果实供药用;果核可制活性炭;茎皮纤维可制绳。树高达30米。叶为奇数羽状复叶,小叶7~9枚,卵状披针形或椭圆状披针形,全缘或萌生叶有锯齿。花杂性异株,单性花为圆锥花序,两性花为总状花序。核果黄色。果核顶端有5个小孔(见图),喜光。喜湿润。对热量要求范围广,从热带至中亚热带均能生长,能耐轻霜。适生于多种土壤(酸性土、钙质土),在土层深厚、肥沃、疏松的山地黄壤及砖红壤性红壤生长良好。早春播种育苗。1年生苗高1~1.5米即可出圃定植。
