The temporal-spatial dynamics of soil organic carbon of arable layer in reversed desertification area;

In this paper,soil respiration rates were measured before and after the removal of soil bio-crust, which was formed during the desertification reversion process,with LiCor 6 400 gas exchange analyzer with soil respiration chamber attachment.

By applying the theory of dissipative structure, this paper researches the temporal series and the spatial structure of the reversion process of desertification, and discusses the fluctuations, formation of the dissipative structure, and unbalanced phase change in the reversion process of desertification.

Desertification: Current State and Trends,Scenarios and Response Options;

Progressing and problems of domestic and international desertification dynamic monitoring and evaluation;

Forecast of influencing factors of desertification in Minqin Oasis of lower reaches of Shiyang River;

Reasonless economic activities of human beings,such as over-reclamation,overgrazing,denudation,misuse and gouging,trigger and accelerate land desertification,which are only the exterior causes of land desertification.

Therefore, measures to constrol land desertification should be focused on abating environmental impact of human activity, for instance population should be controlled and the carrying capacity of the land should be increased.

Through an investigation, the dominant natural factors and degree of land desertification in Taiyuan was made clearly and the reasons for land desertification are analyzed.
