| 庙岛群岛 位于中国山东省蓬莱角到辽宁省老铁山的渤海海峡。它把山东半岛和辽东半岛联结起来 ， 成为渤海和黄海的分界。南北相距90多千米 ，分布着 40多个岛屿 。按其位置分为北、中、南3群：北群主要有北、南隍城岛及大 、小钦岛等；中群主要有砣矶、高山、猴矶和大、小竹山岛等；南群主要有大、小里山岛、庙岛及南、北长山岛等。其中以南长山岛最大，约20平方千米。它们都是更新世初期的渤海平原上山脉，由于断陷作用，渤海湾下沉，被全新世海浸淹没，平地成浅海，山地高处突出水面，成为山岛。岛群把渤海口分成 8 条主要水道，以长山、老铁山、登州水道为主，最宽40多千米。为黄海、渤海渔业基地，以产对虾闻名。 |
