蛋用型鸡品种。原产中国浙江省台州地区，以仙居县分布最多。体小,耗料少,产蛋量高。动作敏捷，易受惊，属神经质型。羽毛紧密，有黄、白、黑、花、栗等色。公鸡体重1.25～1.5千克,母鸡0.75～1.25千克。初产日龄160天左右。年产蛋量180～220个,蛋重小，平均42～45克。此鸡现主要在农村中散养，是很有价值的品种资源。
