射阳县临港工业区是1995年经省政府批准成立的省级农业开发区,坐落在广袤的黄海滩涂上。
射阳县临港工业区有着得天独厚的优势条件。
国有土地的储备库。核心区覆盖整个射阳港垦区，堤内滩涂12万亩，堤外高涂1.2万亩，项目用地拆迁任务少，征用成本低，审批障碍小。
能源的基地。境内射阳港电厂已投产装机容量55万千瓦，三期工程240万千瓦也在准备上马，投资10亿元的沿海风力发电项目已经完成测试等各项准备工作。
交通的枢纽。距同三高速入口只有半小时车程，海堤公路全县99.6公里，贯通南北全境，省道329射阜淮三期横穿垦区；投入8亿元的新长铁路射阳港支线即将开工；射阳港是国家二类开放口岸，距日本的长崎港只有460海里，除港口内支线正常通航外，与韩国近洋国际航线已经恢复。

旅游的胜地。工业区外靠国家一类珍禽丹顶鹤保护区、射阳岛公园、水上运动中心、息心寺，内连凯庄国际高尔夫球场、国际海滨垂钓中心、沿海观光农园、高涂赶海拾趣园，是湿地旅游休闲的最佳去处。
