临港镇位于江西省乐平市境中东部，东邻乐河镇，西毗双田镇、浯口镇，南连高家镇、鸬鹚乡，北界涌山镇。乡政府驻地临港距市区25公里。总面积70平方公里。实有耕地面积21392亩，其中水田18780亩，旱地2612亩；山林面积49485亩。全镇辖11个村委会，45个自然村。共有4797户，18601人，其中男99lo人，女8691人；农业人口18055人，非农业人口546人。农业以种植水稻、油料为主，工业以建材、发电、粮食加工为主。石灰、红砖等行业日趋繁荣。
