经过20天的封闭哺乳，武汉森林野生动物园的3只纯种东北虎崽顺利成活。昨日，它们在虎妈妈“菲菲”的庇护下对外亮相。据称，这是东北虎家族首次成功在汉延续香火。
由于东北虎是稀有动物（纯野生总量不到20只） ，繁殖相当困难，加之老虎生产极其隐秘，一旦有人打扰，母虎常咬死幼虎，因此，能生下虎崽并顺利成活非常不易。
饲养员介绍，目前母子情况良好，幼虎顺利吃到母奶，有望全部存活。因为封闭哺乳，工作人员只能偶尔偷看一下母子情况，所以幼虎性别现仍难确定。
该动物园透露，50天以后，3只小虎便可断奶，与游人见面。记者昨看见，3个小家伙长得虎头虎脑，带着花斑的皮毛泛着亮光，十分可爱。
