为禾本科植物大画眉草的花。
【植物形态】
大画眉草 一年生草本,高11~78厘米。秆丛生,直立或自基部向外张开而上升,节下常有一圈腺体。叶片线形,长5~20厘米,宽3~6毫米,上面粗糙,下面无毛;叶鞘短于节间,具纵脉纹,脉上生有腺体,鞘口有柔毛;叶舌膜质,长约1毫米。圆锥花序长圆形或金字塔形,长7~20厘米,分枝粗壮,单生,小枝及小穗柄上均具有黄色腺体;小穗长4~10毫米,宽2~3毫米,暗绿色,老时色变淡,呈蓝紫色;颖片先端尖,近于相等或第一颖稍短,具脉;外稃侧脉显著,先端稍钝,内稃宿存,长约为外稃的3/4,脊具微细纤毛。颖果圆球形,径为0.5毫米左右。花果期7~10月。 生于山坡丛林下、路旁、空旷地区。分布我国东北和华北,南延至广东和西南地区。 同属植物画眉草与小画眉草亦作星星草入药。
【功用主治】
治脓疱疮(黄水疮):星星草花朵,炒黑存性,研细,用香油调成糊状,涂患处。每日一次,连涂3~5次,皮肤即发干,逐步恢复正常。
