A field experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of nitrogen and silicon nutritions on rice blast occurrence on a traditional glutinous rice variety Huangkenuo under intercropping with japonica variety chujing 26.

Two factors with 4 horizontal combinations were drawn up in this trial, including Different silicon nutrition and ultraviolet-B (UV-B) radiation, in order to analyze the effects of silicon nutrition on phenolics metabolization of two tested rice, Lemont (UV-B tolerant) and Dular (UV-B sensitive).

Analyzing current situation of studying silicon nutrition and fertilizer, this paper summaries the research works on capacity for supply silicon of soil and reasons to add silicon, silicon uptake properties of rice, physiological effects of silicon fertilizer, impacts of silicon on rice production, and these indicate silicon play an important role in rice nutrition.

In this paper,the effects of nutrient silicon and water temperature on variations of phytoplankton growth and assemblage structure in the Jiaozhou Bay are analyzed and discussed,and the spatial and temporal variations of primary production limited by nutrient silicon and water temperature are also studied.
