性质:能够抑制谷氨酸脱羧酶活性的一类化合物。如二羟基或三羟基苯甲酸以及某些与苯二甲酸相关的化合物,都能非特异性抑制谷氨酸脱羧酶,其中丰加链霉菌1039菌株产生的4,5-二羟基间苯二甲酸活性最高,是一种竞争性抑制剂,小鼠静脉给药可引起脑部γ-氨基丁酸含量下降,谷氨酸脱羧酶抑制剂是研究γ-氨基丁酸在脑神经系统中功能的很好工具。
