由小 DNA 病毒科(Parvoviridae)小 DNA 病毒属(Parvovirus) 中的猪小DNA病毒引起。可使母猪发生死胎、难产和不育。是较新发现的疾病,对养猪业的发展形成威胁。世界性分布,中国也有报道。诊断可通过在细胞培养物中分离病毒和用免疫萤光法直接检查流产胎儿组织中的病原抗原,或用红细胞凝集抑制(HI)试验检查猪血清加以证实。试用灭活疫苗进行预防的效果尚不理想。
