【化学成分】
含羟基吴茱萸碱约0.01%，此药在苯中再结晶则得去氢吴茱萸碱。又含黄酮类化合物。
【性味】
①《日华子本草》："热，无毒。" ②《纲目》："辛苦，热，无毒。"
【功用主治】
《日华子本草》："治霍乱，下气，止心腹冷气，内外肾钓痛，盐研罯之。"
【选方】
①治霍乱脚转筋：吴茱萸叶和艾，以醋汤拌罯。(《日华子本草》) ②治大寒犯脑头痛：酒拌吴茱萸叶，袋盛蒸熟，更互枕熨之，痛止为度。(《纲目》)
