  又称"表面活性剂"。能降低溶液表面张力的物质。分布在肺泡的表面,现已知肺的表面活性物质是一种复杂的脂蛋白。其主要成分是二棕榈酰磷脂酰胆碱,它由肺泡Ⅱ型细胞所分泌,以单分子层辅盖在肺泡的内表面,肺泡表面张力与磷脂的浓度成反比例关系,吸气时肺泡扩大,表面活性物质分子间距增加,其浓度相应减少,呼气时肺泡缩小,其浓度增加,使肺泡不致萎缩。并可维持各种大小不一的肺泡容量的稳定性。
