性质:存在于茉莉、红茶等中。淡草黄色至淡黄色或几乎无色的油状物。具温和甜的花香和强的茉莉花和果香香气。沸点109~112℃(26.6Pa)。1.002。1.457~1.458。极微量溶于水,可溶于乙醇和油类中。工业上主要由2-戊基-2-环戊烯-1-酮和丙二酸二乙酯缩合,后经水解,脱羧,并甲酯化制得。广泛用于各种日用化妆香精,也用于食用香精。
