【植物形态】
多年生草本，高30～60cm。根肥厚肉质，纺锤形至圆锥形，外皮黄竭色，有黄色乳汁。茎绿色，基部带紫色。叶互生，叶片长圆状披针形，长4～llcm，宽1～2．5cm，全缘。总花序多歧聚伞状，顶生，5伞梗呈伞状，每伞梗又生出3小伞梗或再抽第3回小伞梗；杯状聚伞花序宽钟形，总杯裂片先端有不规则浅裂；腺体半月形。蒴果三角状扁球形，无毛。种子圆卵形，棕褐色。花期4～6月，果期5～7月。生于山坡、草地或林下。主产安徽、河南、江苏、山东、湖北。
