【经济林、园林苗圃保险】一种介于林业与农业之间的保险。经济林、园林苗圃除具有森林的基本特征和社会功能外，还为人们提供果、汁、花皮等林产品，为人们提供观赏和美化环境的物质条件，是林业生产的组成部分。中保集团公司已试办的险种有:苹果、梨、柑桔、香蕉、柿、枣、山植、葡萄、茶叶树、橡胶树等保险，以及供观赏名贵树木中的桂花树、雪松、苗木盆景保险。保险责任包括火灾、风灾、洪水、冰雹、雪冻、暴雨、寒潮、干旱和病虫害等项损失。经济林的保险金额，可按照经济林平均收获量的40%一60%为保险额度确定，也可根据经济林的价值和平均收获量的价值，按照四六成或三七成比例由被保险人和保险人分担损失责任。经济林的自身价值和林产品收获数量，可以株定值，也可以亩面积定值。观赏树种盆景花木，则按不同规格议定每株保险金额。
