苗圃 nursery 生产苗木的基地。苗木是造林、果树生产、园林绿化的物质基础。苗圃按培育苗木的用途可分为森林苗圃、园林苗圃、果树苗圃等;如具有多种经营内容者称为综合苗圃;专为科学实验服务者称试验苗圃。此外根据年限又可分为固定苗圃和临时苗圃 。苗圃地选择要求是 :力求邻近苗木用地,交通方便,有足够的劳力来源和电力供应,特别是要有良好的自然环境条件。圃地土壤以土层深厚的砂壤、壤土或轻粘壤为宜,pH以6~7.2为好。圃地要有充足的水源,排水良好。圃址应避开风口、水淹及霜害严重的地方,病虫害蔓延之地更不宜。苗圃区划以能保证苗木质量、便于经营管理和操作为原则。苗圃最好成方形或矩形。
