芸薹属 Brassica 十字花科中经济价值最大的属。1~2年生或多年生草本,植株无毛或具疏毛,光滑或有白粉。基生叶及茎下部叶常大头羽裂,常有柄;茎上部叶抱茎或不抱茎。花黄色,稀为白色;萼片直立或开展,略呈囊状或扁平状;花瓣具长爪;雄蕊6,具蜜腺。长角果圆柱形 ,顶端具长喙。种子每室1列,近球形,子叶纵折。约40种,主要分布在地中海区域;中国有13个栽培种、11变种,1变型,南北各地均有栽培。该属有些种类作蔬菜用,中国特产有芥菜、榨菜、大头菜、雪里蕻;有些种类是油料植物,如油菜;有些种类供药用,如芸薹、芥菜、芜菁、甘蓝等,芥菜的种子并可作辛香调味品,这些栽培种也是早春的蜜源植物。 |
