济群法师，1962年生，福建福安人。1984年毕业于中国佛学院。随后到福建佛学院、闽南佛学院参学任教。现任闽南佛学院研究生导师及戒幢佛学研究所所长，并被聘请为苏州大学政治与公共管理学院兼职教授，厦门大学宗教研究所高级顾问、客座教授。长期从事唯识、戒律的研究及讲授，发表相关学术论文数十万字。
在教学之余积极从事通俗弘法，在欧洲、澳洲及港台等地，留下了法师弘法的足迹；在大陆高等院校、信众团体中，也时常应邀演讲。
1999年出版"人生佛教丛书"《学佛者的信念》、《心经的人生智慧》、《幸福人生的原理》，随后又推出"人生佛教小丛书系列"两辑，包括《人生佛教在当代的弘扬》等十本，与社会大众广结法缘。继承太虚大师的人生佛教思想，提出佛法是人生智慧，是生活智慧的理念，希望人们摆脱对佛法的误解，使佛法走入生活中。
